The new and refurbished Captain Hahn statue is on its way!
After several months of waiting, workers have started to rebuild the memorial statue in the Pioneer Memorial Gardens. The base for the plinth is under construction. Once the cement is poured, it will take 4 to 6 weeks to cure, and then the rest of the monument will be underway – a new plinth and freshly polished plaque and bust of the Captain of the Zebra.
It won’t be long now before Captain Hahn will be back!
