The weather turned on a perfect day for the 2025 Remembrance Day ceremony held in Alec Johnston Park, Hahndorf.
Over 100 people attended, paying their respects to those who lost their lives in all wars and conflicts. A moving address by Shirley Howe, a retired army major, poetry read by school children from Hahndorf’s two schools, and the laying of many beautiful wreaths, was followed by 1-minute of silence at 11am.
Choir Cecilia provided music, and afterwards many shared refreshments at the Hahndorf Memorial Institute.
